The Rilke trail (Italian: Sentiero Rilke, Slovene: Rilkejeva pešpot) is a tourist trail, providing a scenic view of a gulf of Trieste, named after the Prague poet Rainer Maria Rilke, .
It connects the villages of Duino and Sistiana, both in the municipality of Duino-Aurisina.[1]
For a long time the trail was abandoned but in the year 1987 it was restored by the Province of Trieste.
At the beginning of the path, the gulf of Sistiana may be observed, and more of the local flora and fauna may be seen at the end, near the Castle of Duino.
During the course of trail there are three points of observation made during World War II.
